Worked on the Azure/GPT-RAG repository to enhance deployment safety and resource efficiency within the infrastructure layer. Focused on implementing conditional deployment gating for test virtual machines using Bicep and Azure, ensuring that resources are provisioned only when network isolation is enabled and a VM is present. This approach reduced unnecessary resource creation and improved the determinism of test environment deployments, supporting safer CI/CD cycles and cost management. Refined Bicep modules, including infra/main.bicep and search-service-contributor.bicep, and addressed a missing deployment condition, demonstrating a methodical approach to Infrastructure as Code and targeted improvements in deployment logic.
