Worked on enhancing observability in the apache/phoenix repository by implementing query plan logging within the ConnectionActivityLogger. This feature introduced a new configuration property that enables detailed logging of query plan information, including region locations and hostnames for executed queries. The approach focused on improving system transparency and supporting more effective debugging and performance analysis for backend workloads. Leveraging Java and skills in backend development, configuration management, and database internals, the work aligned with ongoing efforts to reduce mean time to resolution and streamline incident response. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on this targeted feature enhancement.
