Worked on the DrFaust92/helm-charts-2 repository to enhance the Prometheus-Postgres-Exporter Helm chart by introducing support for custom TLS configurations. Focused on enabling users to specify TLS schemes and certificate details, the work improved the security and flexibility of metric scraping across diverse environments. The technical approach involved updating YAML-based Helm templates and refining Kubernetes probe configurations to increase monitoring reliability and observability. By updating the chart version and streamlining deployment processes, the changes reduced friction for DevOps teams and strengthened the overall security posture. The work demonstrated practical application of DevOps, Helm, Kubernetes, and YAML skills in a production context.
