Worked on the LifeSG/react-design-system repository to deliver an accessibility-focused enhancement for the pagination component, targeting improved support for screen readers and alignment with WCAG standards. The Accessible Pagination Enhancement introduced ARIA labels, making navigation more intuitive for users of assistive technologies and reducing accessibility defects in downstream applications. The work demonstrated proficiency in React component design, accessibility best practices, and front end development using JavaScript and TypeScript. Throughout the process, changes were meticulously documented with explicit commit messages and linked tickets, ensuring strong traceability and facilitating smoother quality assurance cycles for accessibility across products leveraging the design system.
