During April 2025, Vwy5 developed a reusable CheckButton component for recurring meeting day selection in the cornellh4i/ithaca-recovery repository. The work focused on frontend development using React, TypeScript, and SCSS, with an emphasis on maintainability and user experience. Vwy5 refactored the existing day selection logic to integrate the new component, resulting in improved code organization and visual consistency across the UI. Styling was added to ensure alignment with the existing theme, and the component was designed for broader reuse in related forms. This feature laid the groundwork for reducing future code duplication and simplifying ongoing maintenance efforts.
