During October 2024, Archbelt focused on improving the reliability of the livekit/rust-sdks repository by addressing a critical bug in the Twirp client’s URL path handling. Using Rust and leveraging skills in API development and networking, Archbelt modified the client to append path segments correctly, preventing data loss and misrouting in production environments. This work required a coordinated dependency upgrade to the livekit-ffi library to ensure compatibility with the new client behavior. The targeted fix enhanced the correctness of request routing within the SDK, reducing operational risk and supporting more robust, error-resistant communication for downstream applications and users.
