Worked on enhancing barcode scanning functionality within the matmair/InvenTree repository’s Platform UI, focusing on improving data accuracy and processing speed for high-volume environments. Developed and integrated End-of-Transmission (EOT) character support and auto-submit features, enabling reliable, hands-free barcode scans and reducing manual intervention. Ported the core barcode scanning workflow to the Platform UI to ensure consistent behavior with backend processing, addressing a key reliability issue. Utilized JavaScript, TypeScript, and React to refine the barcode text input user experience, resulting in a more streamlined and robust frontend workflow. The work centered on frontend development and UI improvement over a one-month period.
