During October 2025, WoodenCore developed SOCKS proxy support for the Ktor client on Darwin within the ktorio/ktor repository. This feature introduced SOCKS-specific settings and a dedicated setup function, enabling seamless proxy configuration for macOS environments and addressing enterprise deployment needs. WoodenCore utilized Kotlin and the Ktor framework, applying network programming principles and unit testing to ensure robust integration. The work was closely aligned with KTOR-8968 and tracked through PR #5144, providing visibility and facilitating code review. While the contribution focused on a single feature, it demonstrated depth in platform-specific networking and careful attention to configuration usability and maintainability.
