Worked on the Monash-FIT3170/2025W1-Skilltree repository to enhance the search user experience by introducing a loading indicator during data fetch operations. Leveraged React, TypeScript, and Next.js to implement a loading page component, ensuring users receive immediate feedback while search results are being retrieved. Initiated a transition from server-side to client-side filtering by commenting out existing server-side logic, setting the stage for more responsive and scalable search interactions. This approach not only improves user experience but also facilitates easier experimentation with filtering features. The work focused on front end development, emphasizing maintainability and future scalability within the codebase.
