During October 2025, wptmetadata-github-bot developed a core data-maintenance feature for the web-platform-tests/wpt-metadata repository, focusing on manifest data synchronization. The work automated the process of keeping the local go_test/MANIFEST.json file aligned with the latest manifest from wpt.fyi, addressing the challenge of test data drift and manual updates. Using Shell scripting and API integration, the solution fetches the most recent manifest via a curl command and writes it directly to the repository, supporting more reliable test validity and continuous integration workflows. The project demonstrated practical DevOps skills and delivered a targeted, maintainable improvement within a short timeframe.
