Worked on the Nictiz/HL7-mappings repository over a two-month period, focusing on codebase maintenance and streamlining transformation utilities. Consolidated Ada-2-FHIR-R4 mapping utilities by migrating XSLT files to a shared repository, reducing duplication and improving maintainability. Deprecated and removed obsolete FHIR-to-ADA transformation scripts and payload files, simplifying the mapping surface and easing future upgrades. Emphasized code refactoring and repository management to reduce technical debt and improve build reliability. Utilized XML, XSLT, and shell scripting to update dependencies, centralize utilities, and clean up legacy components, resulting in a more maintainable and contributor-friendly codebase without introducing new bugs.
