Worked on enhancing container security in the google/gvisor repository by adding Parent Thread Group ID (PPID) support to the seccheck ContextData structure. This feature, implemented using Go and backend development skills, provided richer security context by exposing parent-child process relationships during security checks. The technical approach involved modifying the ContextData structure to include PPID, enabling improved threat detection and more effective incident triage through clearer process lineage. By focusing on backend systems and leveraging Go, the work addressed the need for better auditability and visibility in containerized environments, contributing to more robust and transparent security monitoring capabilities.
