Worked on refining the Toast notification component in the nextui-org/nextui repository, focusing on front end development and CSS. Delivered a feature that aligned the close button with container padding to match design tokens, ensuring visual consistency across desktop and mobile breakpoints. Introduced responsive behavior by hiding the close button on mobile devices, which reduced UI clutter and improved usability for smaller screens. The implementation emphasized maintainability, with changes traceable through a dedicated commit. This work addressed both design and user experience concerns, leveraging CSS to unify component behavior and appearance while maintaining a lean feature set for the notification UI.
