During February 2025, Xyn contributed to the apache/bigtop-manager repository by enhancing the Create Cluster flow’s user interface with a focus on localization readiness and UI clarity. Xyn simplified the Create Cluster button by removing its icon and consolidating its text into a generalized translation key, streamlining both the user experience and future translation efforts. Working primarily with Vue and front end development skills, Xyn’s changes improved maintainability by centralizing UI text resources, reducing future localization overhead. The work, tied to BIGTOP-4362, laid a foundation for easier internationalization and more consistent UI updates, though the scope was limited to a single feature.
