Worked on stabilizing the containerized development environment for the ThioJoe/_tempFork_vscode repository by addressing build failures caused by recent changes in the Rust ecosystem. Focused on DevOps and containerization, the approach involved upgrading the Rust toolchain within the devcontainer to version 1.3.3, effectively resolving compatibility issues introduced by the removal of RLS and rust-analysis components in Rust 1.87. This targeted bug fix restored reliability to the build process and improved onboarding efficiency for contributors. The work demonstrated a strong understanding of Rust and container workflows, ensuring ongoing alignment with upstream Rust components to prevent future regressions.
