Worked on the duckduckgo/privacy-configuration repository to deliver a new feature flag enabling silent update relaunch functionality. Focused on configuration management and feature flag implementation, the approach involved designing a flag in JSON that remains off by default, ensuring no disruption to current users while laying the groundwork for future update process improvements. Established a governance model for feature flags to support incremental rollout and safe experimentation, allowing updates to be tested and refined without impacting the active user base. The work emphasized maintainability and extensibility, providing a controlled path for enhancements to the update mechanism within the existing configuration framework.
