Worked on the cdce8p/ha-core repository to enhance the Tuya integration for Home Assistant by enabling current, power, and voltage sensors by default for Tuya electrical categories. This change removed the registry’s default-disabled state for these sensors, allowing users immediate access to essential electrical metrics without additional configuration. The approach focused on improving user onboarding and reducing setup friction, leveraging Python and core Home Automation and IoT development skills. The work demonstrated a clear understanding of registry flag management and sensor integration, delivering a targeted feature that streamlines the experience for users managing Tuya-powered devices within Home Assistant.
