Worked on stabilizing adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) configuration parsing in the IAS-Astrophysics/athenak repository, focusing on simulation setup and configuration management. Addressed a critical bug by correcting the parsing of the refinement_interval parameter in AMR input files, which previously caused simulation errors due to a naming inconsistency. The solution involved a targeted change in configuration language handling, ensuring that AMR settings are interpreted correctly and that simulation runs proceed reliably for users leveraging AMR features. Delivered the fix as a concise, review-friendly commit, improving the robustness of input handling and reducing downstream failure rates for AMR-enabled simulations in March 2025.
