Worked on the Shubhamsaboo/LightRAG repository to deliver a targeted API enhancement focused on improving data retrieval precision. Developed and integrated a new IDs parameter into the QueryRequest model, allowing clients to filter query results by specific IDs and thereby reduce unnecessary data transfer. The implementation involved updating the API endpoint in Python, with careful attention to backend development best practices and clear, traceable commit messaging. This feature improved client integration by supporting more flexible and efficient queries, enhancing overall API usability. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to API design and change management, with a focus on maintainability and performance.
