Worked on the mealie-recipes/mealie repository to refactor authentication object usage across multiple Vue.js components, focusing on standardizing authentication handling and improving code readability. Leveraged JavaScript and Vue to streamline the authentication logic, addressing inconsistencies and reducing future maintenance overhead. The refactor included a targeted fix for the removal of a reserved prefix in the authentication flow, aligning with project issues and enhancing security and predictability in user authentication. This work improved the maintainability of the codebase, supported faster onboarding for new contributors, and laid the groundwork for more secure and efficient development of future authentication-related features.
