Worked on the mysociety/fixmystreet repository over a two-month period, delivering two targeted features focused on onboarding and support for parish and town councils. Developed a parish signups email notification system using Perl and HTML, introducing automated user confirmation emails and configurable admin activation notifications with both text and HTML templates to ensure accessibility and branding consistency. Enhanced user-facing documentation by updating the FAQ section, clarifying setup, costs, and service capabilities to reduce onboarding friction and support queries. Demonstrated a methodical approach to backend and front end development, emphasizing maintainability, clear communication, and robust version control throughout the project.
