Contributed to the DragonBluep/openwrt repository by implementing Ethernet link state reporting for eth1 on Qxwlan e750a, e600g, and e600gac devices. This work involved device tree configuration using DTS and embedded systems skills to enable netifd and hotplug events, allowing automated DHCP client control. By extending support to the Fast Ethernet port through the built-in switch, the changes improved DHCP reliability and automation within OpenWrt deployments. The solution aligned with OpenWrt’s interface management workflows and demonstrated proficiency in networking, device tree configuration, and collaboration with maintainers, with all commits properly signed off and referenced in the project’s workflow.
June 2023 — DragonBluep/openwrt: Implemented Ethernet link state reporting for eth1 on Qxwlan devices (e750a/e600g/e600gac) to drive netifd and hotplug events, enabling DHCP client control. This extends support to the Fast Ethernet port through the built-in switch, improving DHCP reliability and automation in OpenWrt deployments. Commit ebacb59a30a0e8d3b0f8f25846ed3c412536c8d2 includes sign-offs; PR 9971 references the merge. This work strengthens device management consistency and aligns with OpenWrt’s interface management workflows.
