During June 2025, Zpd106 developed and exported the useLocalThreadRuntime hook for the assistant-ui/assistant-ui repository, enabling custom local runtime logic within client applications. By ensuring compatibility with the existing useRemoteThreadListRuntime hook, Zpd106 streamlined integration and reduced friction for developers adopting new runtime strategies. The work focused on React hook API design and surface exports, leveraging TypeScript to maintain type safety and code clarity. Although the contribution was limited to a single feature, the implementation established a foundation for future extensibility in local and remote runtime management, demonstrating a disciplined, maintainable approach to front-end development without addressing bug fixes.
