Worked on stabilizing the PD prefill flow for vLLM within the vllm-project/aibrix repository, focusing on backend reliability. Addressed a critical validation issue by removing the min_tokens field from PD prefill requests, ensuring compatibility with vLLM’s expected request format and preventing runtime errors. This targeted bug fix improved the reliability of PD prefill operations and reduced downstream retry costs. Demonstrated skills in API development, backend development, and Go, with careful attention to request validation and change management. Collaborated across teams to ensure a smooth rollout, committing changes with proper sign-off for traceability and maintaining alignment with project standards.
