Worked on the apache/calcite repository to enhance the stability and correctness of DDL extension samples, focusing on resolving a misconfiguration that previously prevented these examples from running. Addressed CALCITE-6934 by updating the parserFactory to use ServerDdlExecutor, ensuring that official DDL extension samples are now functional and accessible to users. This work emphasized reliability and maintainability, reducing onboarding friction and support needs for both users and contributors. Utilized Java and Gradle to implement the fix, demonstrating attention to build configuration and documentation quality. No new features were introduced, with efforts concentrated on improving sample code and developer guidance.
