Worked on the moby/buildkit repository to improve the reliability of policy matching in backend systems using Go. Addressed a bug in the garbage collection policy filter by restructuring it to support OR-based matching, which ensures correct record selection and reduces cache misses. Enhanced the exact-match conversion logic in source policies to produce the correct destination format, enabling accurate source pinning and substitution. Added targeted tests to cover the exact-match path, increasing regression coverage and build reproducibility. Demonstrated skills in Go, backend development, and test-driven development while focusing on deterministic builds and correctness in policy-driven cache record management.
