Worked on the erlang/otp repository to deliver a generalized data publishing capability, focusing on architectural upgrades to the data publishing path. Developed the data_publisher module using Erlang, which abstracts and streamlines data publishing logic for backend distributed systems. Refactored core messaging to move from tuple-based messages to a generalized update format, enhancing API usability and supporting multiple publishing scenarios. This modular approach improved inter-gen_server communication and laid the foundation for future version upgrades and scalability. The work emphasized maintainability and flexibility, leveraging expertise in Erlang, backend development, and distributed systems to enable more efficient and adaptable message handling.
