Contributed to two open source projects over a two-month period, focusing on system programming and performance optimization using Go and Markdown. In the itchyny/go repository, addressed a runtime stability issue for Plan 9 by modifying the readRandom function to prevent process creation slowdowns caused by /dev/random, ensuring smoother runtime initialization. In coder/trivy, implemented Bottlerocket OS package analysis support, integrating detection and a dedicated inventory analyzer to enable vulnerability and license analysis for Bottlerocket-based deployments. Updated documentation to guide users on setup and analysis scope. Work emphasized targeted bug fixing, system analysis, and expanding OS-package coverage for compliance and risk assessment.
