Over a two-month period, contributed to the DataDog/system-tests repository by building and enhancing features for the Kong API gateway integration. Developed the Kong ddtrace integration using C++ and Python, enabling end-to-end request tracing to improve observability, debugging, and performance analysis. Authored configuration files, installation scripts, and documentation to support the new plugin, leveraging Docker and DevOps practices for deployment. Further improved the Cpp Kong plugin by implementing automated version loading, embedding release and commit metadata for better traceability and reproducibility. Demonstrated collaborative development through co-authored patches and maintained a focus on robust scripting and version control workflows.
