During February 2025, 3djc focused on reliability improvements for the EdgeTX/edgetx firmware, specifically addressing SD card write failures on the gx12 hardware target. Using C++ and embedded systems expertise, 3djc implemented a conditional long busy wait for SD card operations when RADIO_GX12 is defined, allowing the SD card additional time to become ready and reducing intermittent write errors. This targeted firmware change improved the stability of data logging and firmware updates for gx12 users while minimizing risk to other hardware targets. The work demonstrated a careful, hardware-specific approach to firmware maintenance, emphasizing depth and precision over broad feature development.
