During December 2025, Gnauck focused on improving the user experience for EdgeTX Companion on Linux by addressing a launcher icon display issue in the EdgeTX/edgetx repository. He implemented a targeted bug fix that added the StartupWMClass property, ensuring the correct application icon appears in GNOME launchers and reducing user confusion across platforms. This work demonstrated his skills in Linux desktop application development, GNOME integration, and disciplined version control. Although no new features were released, the fix provided clear business value by enhancing cross-platform consistency and polish, reflecting a thoughtful approach to desktop environment compatibility and user interface reliability.
