Developed a new feature for the packit/packit repository, introducing a CLI option that enables mock builds to use the default result directory, thereby aligning build outputs with mock’s conventions. This enhancement, implemented in Python, focused on improving build determinism and reproducibility within packaging and CI pipelines. The work included comprehensive unit tests to validate both the existing and new behaviors, increasing test coverage and reducing the risk of regressions. By refining the build system and command-line interface, the developer contributed to more reliable and predictable continuous integration workflows, demonstrating strong skills in build systems, CLI development, and automated testing.
