Developed and integrated parallel Koji build functionality for the packit/packit repository, focusing on improving build automation and throughput. Leveraged Python’s ThreadPoolExecutor to enable concurrent build execution, ensuring that the process respects the --nowait flag for immediate exit after triggering builds. Enhanced the command-line interface with improved logging, providing greater visibility into parallel build operations and resource utilization, especially under heavy workloads. Updated documentation to reflect the new concurrency features and validated the integration through continuous integration pipelines. The work demonstrated a strong command of concurrency, CLI development, and build automation, delivering a targeted feature that optimizes performance for complex build scenarios.
