Worked on enhancing Education Levels data retrieval in the cultuurnet/udb3-frontend repository by delivering a targeted feature focused on frontend performance and reliability. Refactored the existing data fetch logic into a dedicated RTK Query hook, renaming it for clarity and aligning with standardized API integration practices. Adjusted the fetch configuration by disabling retries and setting an infinite stale time, which reduced unnecessary network requests and stabilized the user interface. Utilized TypeScript and React Hooks to implement these improvements, ensuring maintainable and efficient code. The work emphasized maintainability and future scalability, addressing both performance and developer experience within the project.
