Worked on the Azure/azure-cli repository to deliver a security-focused feature for Azure CLI ACR cache operations. Developed and shipped support for user-assigned managed identity authentication by introducing a new --identity parameter to the az acr cache create and update commands. This enhancement, implemented in Python, updated constants, parameters, and validation logic to enable identity-based authentication for upstream registries, reducing reliance on static credentials. The work demonstrated proficiency in Azure CLI extension development and cloud computing, improving automation readiness and security posture for ACR cache workflows while laying a foundation for future identity-based enhancements across cache management operations.
