Worked on modernizing packaging and stabilizing CI pipelines for Azure CLI projects, focusing on the azure-cli and azure-cli-extensions repositories. Introduced reproducible packaging pipelines by decoupling extension metadata generation from legacy tooling, migrating to azdev’s pkginfo-based module, and implementing comprehensive end-to-end packaging tests. Addressed build fragility by capping setuptools versions and pinning dependencies, while upgrading CI workflows to use stable azdev releases from PyPI. Leveraged Python, Bash, and Azure Pipelines to resolve wheel metadata and egg-info issues, standardize tool installation, and reduce flaky builds, resulting in improved build reproducibility, faster feedback cycles, and more reliable release processes.
