Worked on the newrelic/entity-definitions repository to improve the accuracy and consistency of OpenTelemetry metrics synthesis for IBM MQ managers and queues. Addressed a key bug by reworking identity and GUID encoding, ensuring that each queue manager and queue is represented as a single entity and eliminating duplication across native and OpenTelemetry paths. Updated identifiers to use underscores for better compatibility with the Prometheus collector pipeline, and refined the manager-to-queue relationship to derive source GUIDs directly from the queue manager. Collaborated with other contributors, validated changes using JSON and YAML, and ensured seamless integration with the existing backend data synthesis workflow.
