Worked on the Azure/bicep-registry-modules repository to enhance the virtual machine Bicep module by introducing a diskControllerType parameter, enabling users to select between NVMe and SCSI disk configurations for their deployments. Leveraged Azure, Bicep, and Infrastructure as Code practices to update the main module, documentation, and end-to-end tests, ensuring the new option was fully validated and backward compatible. The feature addition was reflected by incrementing the minor version and updating the changelog, with all CI checks passing. This work allows customers to optimize virtual machine disk performance and compatibility while maintaining alignment with established contribution guidelines.
