Worked on the JunkFood02/FreshRSS repository to address favicon consistency issues across the GReader and Fever APIs, implementing a hashing solution in PHP to ensure the correct icon is returned for each feed. This involved introducing the hashFavicon() function and integrating it into both APIs, which improved visual reliability for end users and reduced confusion. The work demonstrated skills in API development and backend engineering, with a focus on cross-API integration and data consistency. Additionally, maintained project documentation by updating contributor credits, reinforcing collaborative open-source practices and supporting project governance through clear, up-to-date recognition of new contributors.
