Maxim focused on updating certificate icon branding across the openedx/frontend-app-learning and openedx/edx-platform repositories, replacing edX logos with Open edX logos to ensure licensing compliance and visual consistency. Working with React and JavaScript, Maxim modified JSX components to update certificate icons in course completion and restricted content interfaces. The work involved preparing new image assets, updating binary files, and documenting changes to support future branding updates. While the scope was limited to two feature changes over one month, the updates addressed a clear compliance need and improved the maintainability of certificate-related UI components without introducing new bugs or regressions.
