Over a three-month period, contributed to the UAVGCSTeam/GCS repository by building a scalable drone data management backend and a refreshed Drone Management UI. Leveraging C++, Qt, and QML, established a persistent data model with CRUD operations, integrated database initialization at startup, and ensured seamless UI-backend interaction. Enhanced data integrity by enforcing unique drone names and supporting multi-drone management, while improving operator workflows through UI updates and robust window management. Refactored the drone management stack for maintainability and introduced testing utilities to streamline development. The work laid a solid foundation for analytics, scalable testing, and future enhancements in drone operations.
August 2025 monthly summary for UAVGCSTeam/GCS focused on laying the groundwork for scalable multi-drone management and establishing a robust development branch for ongoing enhancements.
