During this period, work focused on enhancing the documentation for Spike simulations within the ucb-bar/chipyard repository. The developer identified and corrected a typo in the Spike.rst file, updating the flag name from EXTRA_SPIKE_FLAGS to EXTRA_SIM_FLAGS to accurately reflect the simulator’s configuration options. This documentation-only change, implemented using reStructuredText (RST), improved clarity for users and reduced the risk of misconfiguration. The update demonstrated careful attention to technical writing and version-control practices, ensuring that onboarding and support processes are more efficient. No new features were added, but the targeted bug fix contributed to better documentation hygiene and user experience.
