Worked on stabilizing cross-platform behavior for the ucb-bar/sp24-Baremetal-IDE project, focusing on embedded systems and hardware configuration using C. Addressed a critical bug by correcting MMIO mappings and timing issues for the bearly24 and dsp24 platforms, which involved cleaning up incorrect memory-mapped I/O addresses and adjusting MTIME/CLINT frequencies. Removed unnecessary memory regions to streamline hardware register access and improve timing accuracy. These changes enhanced the reliability and maintainability of the Baremetal-IDE, ensuring more accurate hardware interactions across supported platforms. The work demonstrated careful attention to low-level system details and contributed to the overall stability of the codebase.
