Worked on the microsoft/vcpkg repository to upgrade the xlsxio port to version 0.2.35, focusing on improving build reliability and cross-platform consistency. Leveraged CMake to integrate xlsxio with vcpkg, streamlining dependency management and reducing manual configuration. Adjusted the build system to correctly discover and link against Minizip and Expat libraries provided by vcpkg, eliminating the need for path hacks and ensuring reproducible builds. This approach enhanced onboarding for new platforms and reduced maintenance overhead. The work demonstrated strong skills in build systems and dependency management, delivering a targeted feature without introducing user-reported regressions during the development period.
