Khouyo Begenn contributed to the OpenRailAssociation/osrd repository by advancing French localization for the infra-editor component. Focusing on internationalization, Khouyo used JSON and Weblate to translate 391 out of 394 interface strings, directly improving accessibility for French-speaking users. The work involved integrating Weblate into the localization workflow, streamlining future translation updates and supporting ongoing i18n efforts. While no bugs were fixed during this period, the feature delivered a nearly complete French translation, addressing onboarding and usability challenges in Francophone markets. The depth of the contribution lay in both the volume of translated content and the improved translation process for the project.
