During August 2025, Michael Norris focused on improving the reliability of the chipsalliance/caliptra-rtl repository’s CI/CD workflow by addressing a critical bug in pipeline build metadata tracking. He implemented a solution in Shell that refreshed the pr_hash and pr_timestamp after each successful pipeline run, ensuring that build artifacts were accurately tracked and pipelines remained reproducible. By automating the stamping of daily Microsoft pipeline runs with updated identifiers, Michael reduced the risk of downstream mis-tracking. His work demonstrated a strong grasp of automation and CI/CD principles, delivering a targeted fix that enhanced artifact traceability and overall workflow consistency within the project.
