Worked on reliability and modernization improvements for Solr and Apache Camel integrations, focusing on Java-based component development and API integration. In the apache/solr repository, addressed an edge case in HttpJdkSolrClient by adding a Content-Type header to initial HEAD requests, which reduced erroneous error log entries and included new test coverage. In apache/camel, modernized the Camel Solr component by defaulting to HttpJdkSolrClient, simplifying configuration, and removing deprecated options to streamline onboarding and maintenance. Emphasized test-driven development, cross-repository collaboration, and CI readiness, leveraging skills in Java, HTTP client development, and refactoring to enhance reliability and usability across both projects.
