Worked on the DataDog/terraform-provider-datadog repository, focusing on improving log retention handling within the Terraform provider. Addressed a critical issue where zero-day retention defaults were not correctly applied when flex retention was enabled for Datadog Logs, ensuring that log index creation now aligns with intended retention policies and reduces deployment risk. Enhanced the reliability of the provider by expanding test coverage to include scenarios with zero-day retention, maintaining code quality and stability throughout the process. Utilized Go and HCL for provider development and testing, applying skills in API integration to deliver a targeted bug fix that improves operational consistency.
