Worked on enhancing device state reporting reliability in multi-device CAN configurations within the Protofy repository. Focused on embedded systems and device management, the developer addressed a bug affecting ODrive CAN axis_state reporting by correcting the device name published for each axis. This targeted fix, implemented using TypeScript, improved the accuracy of state data across multiple devices, reducing misreporting and supporting better downstream integrations. The work contributed to greater product stability and traceability, ensuring that each device’s identity was accurately reflected in published data. The approach emphasized code quality and maintainability through clear commit practices and focused problem resolution.
