During April 2025, Pedant01 developed the initial DraftService for the tboulund-dls/HappyHeadlines repository, focusing on backend architecture and core API functionality. Using C# and ASP.NET Core, they established the project’s foundational structure, including models, DTOs, repository and service interfaces, and an empty controller. The implementation featured in-memory storage to support rapid MVP iteration for draft management, enabling basic creation and retrieval of drafts through new API endpoints. While no bugs were addressed during this period, the work emphasized maintainable code and extensible design, laying a solid groundwork for future features and ensuring the backend could evolve with project requirements.
